1. turn on the lamp by pressing the round button at the bottom.
2. turn off the light by pressing the round button at the bottom or by tapping until the light goes out.
3. using the patting function: the brightness of the light increases each time you pat it. The lamp has 3 different brightness levels. When the light is at its brightest, the next tap turns it off. The lamp lights up again when you clap it.
